The Map to You

Vintage world map with pink ribbons, a central heart, and text CONEXIO ET DUCTUS.

I’m clearing out the corners, I am making designated space,
For the one who brings the stillness that no shadow can erase.
No more bracing for a phantom blow, no armor on my chest,
Just a nervous system home where my weary heart can rest.
I feel safe.

I’m waiting for the click of soul, the pull of bone and skin,
For the fire to be felt when I finally let you in.
Not a hollow obligation, not a flicker in the dark,
But a deep, embodied hunger that carries a holy spark.
I deeply desire him.

We’ll have the intentionality behind the love to stay,
To sweep the ego’s debris from the path and clear the way.
When the tension starts to tighten, we won’t flicker, we won’t bend,
We’ll have the safety to be seen and the courage to depend.
We repair cleanly.

I am looking for the mirror of the truths I hold so dear,
A heart that beats in rhythm with the “why” that brought me here.
A wholistic way of breathing, a shared and sacred view,
That makes the world feel wider just by standing next to you.
We share a wholistic world view.

We’ll be walking toward a skyline that we both have helped to trace,
Building roots within a community and making it a place—
Of impact and of kindness, where our legacy can bloom,
With enough light in our pockets to brighten every room.
We are building community and impact.

You won’t ask me to be smaller, I won’t ask you to be still,
We’ll climb the highest mountain with a shared and steady will.
A love that’s like a garden, reaching upward to the sun,
The expansion of two spirits that have finally become one.
We expand naturally
