No Residue

He doesn’t nudge me
He doesn’t rush me
He doesn’t promise outcomes

He demonstrates
With patience
With skill
With rootedness

He’s comfortable with repitition
He’s not threatened by time

He’s grounded, not flashy
Unhurried, not persuasive
He’s practical and embodied

He’s not trying to win me
He’s masculine presence
In the form of steady energy

I’m taught to sort and sift
It’s raw
It’s neutral
It’s potential nourishment

It’s not about relationship
It’s about preparation

Sorting and sifting
Removing what doesn’t belong

The process is not dramatic
Or emotional
Or pressured
It’s discernment without urgency

Only fine truth will remain

He models
He instructs
He trusts
He teaches how to choose
How to separate substance from residue

My nervous system breathes
As it finds regulation
In his onsistency
His safe rhythm
There’s containment
And continuity

Intimacy that’s non-activating
No sparks
No chaos
No attachment
There is only presence
As we rest in the process
